Udupi, Oct 16, 2016: Sub-inspector of Kota Police Station Kabbalraj who was in news last month after he had left the station leaving behind his uniform, service revolver and also reportedly his resignation letter in a diary, and had subsequently reported for duty the next day after being convinced by higher-ups has been transferred to Mangaluru.
Kabbalraj is known to be a straightforward officer who did not tolerate corruption.
It was earlier stated that the SI had decided to quit alleging undue pressure while dealing with some issues.
Earlier in June too the officer had reigned in support of the agitation by police constables seeking pay hike and to protest against the arrest of Shashidhar who worked for the welfare of police personnel in Bengaluru.
However, even then he was convinced by the then Udupi SP Annamalai to withdraw his resignation.
