Mangaluru, July 29, 2020: DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary and MLA and former minister U T Khader have locked horns over the issue of the sudden transfer of Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh.
" The Deputy Commissioner who warned of action against those taking law into their hands and resorting to moral policing was issued a death threat by some people. The government instead of punishing those who issued the death threat has punished the Deputy Commissioner," Khader had said in a tweet on Tuesday close on the heels of the DC receiving the transfer orders.
Reacting to this, Kota Srinivas Poojary, in a tweet said "It is unfortunate that Khader has politicised a routine transfer from the administrative point of view. This is not the times of Khader to protect any accused."
The minister has also urged Khader to withdraw his words and even pointed out that the Home Department has ensured a suo moto case with regard to the threat which the DC has received.
