Kasargod, Jan 11, 2021: A one and a half year old child lost his life after he accidentally consumed kerosene oil stored in a bottle.
The deceased child is Hrithik, son of Renuka and Das couple of Uduma. It is learnt Hrithik who was playing at home drank the kerosene oil. It was only after he fell ill that parents realised that he had drank the oil as the bottle was found nearby.
The child was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Uduma and later to a hospital in Mangaluru but of no avail.
It is said the kerosene oil was kept on the verandah of the house.
