Mangaluru, Nov 27,2017: State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader has taken a dig at Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje for criticising Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and demanding apology from him for not including the photograph of Dr B R Ambedkar in the Constitution Day advertisement released by the State Government.
Speaking to reporters here on November 27, Monday, Khader accused Shobha of unnecessarily creating confusion. The Chief Minister as well as his Government have adhered to the Constitution through their good governance. The BJP should earn from the Chief Minister, he said.
On the opposition demand for the resignation of State Minister K J George, Khader said even several BJP ministers including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister have cases against them.
Regarding distribution of ration cards, the Minister said already 8.5 lakh ration cards including 24,000 ration cards have been dispatched. There have been a total of 15.5 lakh applications for BPL ration cards, he said.
