


Mangaluru, Oct 16, 2016 : It has been reliably gathered that the police who are investigating into the case of theft in the house of Vasudeva Asranna, Chief Priest of Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple, have taken as many as six persons into custody for interrogation. It is said the police have until now questioned nearly 50 persons in connection with the case.

Sources said the police have also gathered some vital clues regarding the main accused in the case who  knew the ins and outs of the Asranna family which resided at Gidigere  as well as the Kateel Temple. It is learnt that they may be arrested  very soon.
As already reported, a gang of armed robbers who were speaking in native Tulu as well as broken Hindi had attacked the Asranna family while he was not at home and had escaped with gold and cash worth nearly Rs 14 lakhs.
The investigation team is led by Bajpe Police Inspector  TD  Nagaraj and CCB Inspector Sunil Nayak.
