Puttur, Jan 4, 2016 DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Forest and Ecology  B Ramanatha Rai has described as baseless the allegations made by a few  that the Karnataka Government has not given its report to the Centre regarding the  recommendations of Kasturirangan Committee.

Ramanatha Rai

Speaking on the sidelines of a Forest Department programme  at Puttur on January 3, Sunday, he said  the Karnataka Government has already  sent its report requesting the Centre to keep  residential areas outside  the purview by restricting the report to  National Park  limits and ecologically sensitive areas.

Now, it is upto the Centre and the  Supreme Court to decide on the issue, he added.

Dr Sanjay S Bijur, Chief Conservator of Forests of Mangaluru Circle and others were present.
