Kasargod, May 1, 2017 : Two women died while three others sustained injuries in a collision between a car and an ambulance on April 30, Sunday at Mallangai near Bandyodu.
The deceased women are Julaika (60) and her granddaughter Mufida (17). A man who was seriously injured in a stabbing case was being rushed towards a hospital in Mangaluru in an ambulance when the vehicle collided against the car. The occupants of the car who were four in number were on way to Mallangai from Uppala.
The man in the ambulance was later taken to hospital in another vehicle. The accident disrupted traffic on the Kasargod-Mangaluru Highway for some time.
Kumble Police have registered a case.
