Kasargod : Unable to deport foreign national for want of documents, cops in dilemma

Kasargod, Dec 16, 2015 : A foreign national who was arrested  for moving around suspiciously in September 2012 and even served a two year imprisonment following a court judgement, though has now been released upon completion of his jail term, the police are unable to deport him to his home nation for want of necessary documents. The court, in  its judgement had said that the person named Abdul  Basheer (32) should be deported.


Abdul Basheer The man  said to be mentally unsound  is of Pakistan origin, who reportedly was working  in a mosque in Saudi Arabia.


He has even served an additional one month imprisonment as he was unable to pay a fine amount  levied by the court.

 Police only have the address of the man  which has been given as ’son of Sayyed Hussain, Makkanakkas, Arhathul Ulam, Saudi Arabia’   It has already been four days since his release and the police have to inevitably provide him food and shelter as he has nowhere to go.


While serving jail term, he even  was given treatment for his mental illness for a year.

Sources indicated that attempts to admit him to an orphanage were futile as he had no relevant documents in possession.

The man is said to be of Pakistani origin.
