Kasargod, June 01, 2015: The police have achieved a breakthrough in the Sri Bhagavathi Temple, Kanhangad Kammadam burglary case with the arrest of two persons. Ancient and valuable Panchaloha idols were stolen from the temple.
The accused are Sadan(45) from Kanhangad and Mohammad Kabeer (25) from Chattanchal. Police are on the lookout for the third accused named Thazuddin.
The theft had occurred on May 25. Investigations into the case had revealed that the trio had travelled to several places including Mysuru and Bengaluru to find buyers for the idols.
The police had gathered clues about the burglars from the CCTV installed near the Temple.
Further investigations are underway.
