Kasargod : Teacher behind bars for molesting students

Kasargod, June 23, 2014: A teacher hailing from Neerchal in Badiadka was arrested on Sunday June 22 on the charges of sexually harassing his students. The arrest was made almost three months after one of the victims mustered courage to lodge a complaint.

arrested kasaragod molting student The accused is Balamurali (26) who has reportedly sexually harassed as many as six high school girls during a span of two years from 2012 to 2014.

It is said he used to summon the girls to the computer lab where he used to molest them and then warn them of dire consequences if they divulged the matter before any one.

But one of his victims, informed her parents about the teacher and the parents immediately contacted the Child Line.

A complaint was lodged in Kasargod police station against the teacher who by then getting hint of the same, had made good his way and was arrested recently. Sources say even the school authorities stood in support of him.

Further investigations are underway.
