Kasaragod, September 17, 2015: Kerala Police have arrested the prime accused in the Kudlu bank robbery.
Banthiyode native Sherif was arrested by the probe team from Karwar in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. The officials also seized about 10kg gold from him. However, the money looted from the bank, Rs.13 laksh, has not been found.
With Sherif’s arrest, the number of people to be taken into the custody has become three. Two more accused are to be arrested.
The police, on Wednesday, had arrested Abdul Mahshooq (27) and Muhammad Sabir (27). While Sabir is said to have been part in the robbery, Abdul is accused of being part of the conspiracy.
