Kasargod : Labourer dies, 10 others injured as tempo overturns

Kasargod, Nov 12, 2015 : A young labourer of Dharwad origin lost his life while ten others sustained injuries when the tempo in which a group of labourers were travelling overturned at Kadambar Katte near Manjeshwar on November 11, Wednesday.
The deceased labourer is Manjappa (29). He hailed from Kotagere in Dharwad. It has been gathered that the driver of the tempo lost control over the vehicle resulting in the mishap wherein the concrete mixer in the tempo fell over Manjappa killing him instantly. The tempo was returning to Uppala after completing concreting work at a construction site at Bayaru Muligadde.
The injured labourers including Hanumesha (23), Umesh (35), Shekhappa (45) and Muthu (48) from Koppala are undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
A case has been registered by Manjeshwar police.
