Kasargod, June 19, 2013 : The Vidyanagar Police in Kasargod, have seized nearly 77.5 kg of ganja which was being transported in a lorry on June 18, Tuesday. However, three persons who were in the lorry managed to give the cops a slip.
Apart from ganja, police have recovered a cash of Rs 25000, a mobile phone and ATM card among other things from the lorry. The vehicle was intercepted by the police who were on a night beat. It is suspected that it was being smuggled from Badiadka.
The three men who took to their heels have been identified as Abdul Salam, Abdul Rahiman and Gangadhar.
Vidyanagar police have registered a case.
