Kasargod : 3 held for blackmailing, forcing NRI to pose for nude pics

Kasargod, April 27, 2014: The Kasargod Town Police have arrested three persons including a young woman on the charges of blackmailing an NRI after forcing him to pose in nude with a woman for photographs and threatening to upload the photos on social sites. Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt for another young woman who is the prime accused in the case.

Those arrested are  Abdul Rahman alias Annan (32) of Pallikere, Harshad (25) and Naseeda (32) of Trikkaripura. It is learnt, the accused had demanded Rs 30 lakh from the NRI entrepreneur.

The victim a resident of Kanhangad was  befriended by a woman after contacting him over mobile phone. One fine day, the lady invited the man  to meet her and then took him to a house at an isolated place at Kasargod Chowki where two others namely Harshad and Rahiman forcibly undressed the man and clicked photos with the woman and blackmailed him for money.

When the victim said he did not have cash of Rs 30 lakhs they reduced the amount to Rs 7 lakhs and ultimately robbed the Rs 17000 which he had with him apart from his watch and mobile phone worth Rs 50,000.

The man who managed to give the blackmailers a slip,had  informed the police who wasted no time in trapping three of the accused.

Kasargod town police have registered a case and are investigating.
