Kasargod, Mar 16, 2017: Police have arrested two persons in connection with the case wherein a young woman from Kotekar near Mangaluru who happens to be the dance teacher of an institute in Manjeshwar was attacked by a gang on the night of March 13, Monday.
It is believed that the decision of the victim against marrying the man with whom she was maritally engaged was said to be the reason behind the attack.
The seriously injured woman is presently undergoing treatment at the District Co-operative Hospital at Kumble. It is said that she was engaged to a youth from Majibail.
Police had registered a case against as many as 15 persons in connection with the attack. Those arrested are Vishwanath (28) from Manjeshwar and Naveen (31) from Posotu. The police are on the lookout for other accused.
