Kasaragod: Man shoots brother to death in drunken brawl, arrested

Kasargod, Mar 04, 2024: In a shocking incident from Kasaragod, a man was arrested for allegedly killing his brother on Sunday night during a regular drinking session between the brothers escalated into a deadly confrontation. Kuttikol native, Balakrishnan(47), reportedly shot his brother Asokan(45), following a heated argument, resulting in Asokan’s immediate death from a bullet wound.
Police investigations revealed that Balakrishnan, in a drunken state, retrieved a country-made firearm from acquaintances among a group of nomadic people.
The bullet struck Asokan above the thigh, causing fatal bleeding. Asokan’s body is now at the Government General Hospital’s mortuary.
