November 1, 2019, marks a new date in the academic year of 2019 – 20 for our St Aloysius College Higher Primary School for celebrating 64th   Karnataka   Rajyostava  and for hosting  a science exhibition  at the school  level for the Primary students.

The dignitaries were escorted to the school auditorium. The dignitaries of the day were Mrs. Grace Akshitha – The Chief Guest , Rev. Fr. Gerald Furtado SJ – our Correspondent , Mr. K Arvind – Vice President of PTA and Mrs. Philomena Lewis – our Headmistress.

The programme began by invoking Gods blessings through a prayer song.

The welcoming of the guests was done by students of Std II .

The introduction of the Chief Guest was done by Mr. Prakash Dsouza . As  as a token of love,  a sapling was presented to the Chief Guest  by Ms. Dalmia. This was followed by the cultural programme presented by the students of Std II.  

As a mark of respect to our state Nada Geethe –  was sung by the students.

The Chief Guest in her message briefed on the different features, history and the current existence , of Karnataka  State  and suggested the students to  practice Kannada.

Rev. Fr. Gerald Furtado SJ, addressed the gathering and spoke about the the famous Indian developed state - Karnataka for being famous for its  tourist attractions. The state has a been blessed by various languages across the borders. He suggested the students to strive hard and to make   a better place for living .

Rev . Fr Gerald Furtado , also informed the gathering about the Science Exhibition Inaugural . He spoke on the latest developments on moon, etc . He congratulated the teachers , parents and students for taking  active participation in science exhibition , by displaying various forms of science working  models,  charts .

The students from Std I to VII had displayed their various  science project on the display board, working  models, charts  that they have prepared .Prior to the exhibition a theme was given to the students for active participation. All the students were encouraged to participate in the exhibition .
The backbone of this exhibition  was our headmistress . Ms. Chitra & Mrs. Flavi DSouza  were  the coordinators of this exhibition .  National Anthem was sung at the end of the programme.
