Mangaluru, Feb 16, 2017: Karnataka Bank Founders’ Day celebration is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 18th February 2017 at the Auditorium of the Head Office of the Bank, Mangaluru.
Prof. B. M. Hegde, Padma Bhushan Awardee will deliver the Founders’ Day Lecture on “Man, Money and Happiness”. The programme will be followed by Carnatic Classical Vocal Musical Concert by “PRIYA SISTERS”, Vidushi Smt. Shanmukha Priya & Vidushi Smt. Hari Priya, accompanied by Vidwan Shri M. A. Krishnaswamy, on the violin, Vidwan Shri Neyveli Skandasubramaniam, on the Mridangam and Vidwan Shri B. S. Purushotham, on the Kanjira. The programme will be presided by Shri P Jayarama Bhat, MD & CEO of the Bank. There will be live broadcast of the programme by All India Radio, Mangaluru and live telecast by “Namma Kudla” TV Channel.

To commemorate the Founders’ Day, Bank has planned some major CSR initiatives to improve the lives of less privileged sections of the society. “To coincide with this momentous occasion, we are happy to announce a few of our CSR initiatives, namely donation of dialysis machines for the proposed hospital of Hoysala Foundation, Shivamogga, financial assistance to Karnataka Rajya Devadigara Sangha (R.), Mangaluru for improving the infrastructure of the school and to Sri Krishna Sevashrama Trust, Bengaluru towards the construction of Central Sterile Service Dept. of the hospital proposed to be established at Marthahalli – Bengaluru”, said Shri P Jayarama Bhat, MD & CEO of the Bank.
