Mangaluru, Mar 15, 2018: Mangaluru based Karnataka Bank has reached yet another milestone by opening its 800th branch at Bengaluru – Bull Temple Road in the Bank’s own new building on 14-03-2018. This is the 36th branch opened by the Bank during the current financial year 2017-18 and is also the first all women branch of the bank.
Shri P. Raghuram, Former Chairman of the Bank, inaugurated the Karnataka Bank New Building and Smt. Usha Ganesh, IAS [Rtd], Director of the Bank inaugurated the 800th Branch of the bank within this building complex. Bank’s Bengaluru – Regional Office is also shifted to this new building and the new office space was inaugurated by Shri P Jayarama Bhat, Chairman of the Bank. Shri Mahabaleshwara M S, Managing Director & CEO, lighted the lamp of prosperity and the function was presided over by Shri P Jayarama Bhat, Chairman of the Bank.
“In line with our Bank’s Vision to be a progressive, prosperous and well governed bank, we have opened 36 branches, during the current financial year and at present Bank has 800 branches across India with a business turnover of ` 1,06,000 crores. Further, as part of our Financial Inclusion initiative, we have opened 8 Financial Inclusion branches.
On this historical occasion, we re-affirm our commitment to reposition the Bank as “Relevant and Significant Bank” by focusing on technology and by keeping intact its core values and identity” said Shri Mahabaleshwara M S, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank.
The function was attended by all the Directors of the Bank, Regional Heads, Executives, Ex-employees of the bank, local branch managers and staff members.
