Karkala : Man with criminal background attacked by duo

Karkala, Aug 2, 2016 : A man named William D’Souza (45) who was wanted by the police in several cases was attacked with lethal weapons by two persons near a bar at Doopadakatte in Attur on August 1, Monday.

Man with criminal background attacked by duo The assailants have been identified as Harish Poojary and Annaiah.

The injured William has been hospitalised. One of the accused Harish is a tempo owner and driver.

Sources said the duo attacked William in retaliation to an earlier incident in 2014 when the latter had attacked Harish Poojary. William who was arrested in the case had managed to come out.

Earlier in May this year he was arrested for hoarding arms and weapons in his house after his mother complained against him.

He was reelased in this case just two weeks ago.
