Kalladka clashes : Cops arrest 4, continue search for other accused

 Mangalore, Mar 10, 2014 : As many as four persons have been arrested by the Bantwal police in connection with the  clashes between Congress workers and Sangh Parivar activists at Kalladka on March 8, Saturday during a Congress Samarasya Samavesh.

Those arrested are Poovappa Tailor, Keshava, Mithun and Guruvappa. It is learnt, the police are searching for other people wanted in connection with the clashes. The arrested have been produced before the magistrate and remanded to judicial custody.

SP Sharanappa has informed that four teams  led by inspectors have been formed to  nab the  nearly twenty to 25 suspects in the case.

He also informed that  prohibitory orders under Section 144 will continue. Security arrangements were also strengthened at Kaikamba where a Urus was underway.
