Mangaluru, Apr 10, 2018: District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai has expressed his resentment against senior RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat and has said that Bhat who poses himself as a Hindutva man, has questioned the very existence of Daivas in which people of the district had deep rooted beliefs and is the symbol of the culture of the region.
Speaking to reporters at the Congress office here on April 10, Tuesday, he said the Prasada is not offered by those who don the role of Daivas. "But Kalladka has spoken ill about Daivas. His words have testified as to how provocative staements are made for the sake of votes," said Rai.
He exuded confidence that the Congress would win all eight seats from the district and added that the failure of the Union Government would contribute to the Congress win. "People do not want Modi’s Mann Ki Baat. The Congress is engaged in the task of listening to the people’s Mann Ki Baat," said Rai.
He predicted that there would be resentment in the BJP once its candidates’ list are out, and claimed that several BJP workers were in touch with them. He also made it clear that there was no resentment among Congress workers.
DCC Chief Harish Kumar, Corporators Shashidhar Hegde, Deepak Poojary, ZP member Mamatha Gatti and others were present.
