Mangalore, June 16, 2013: K. Anil, Deputy General Manager of Indian Overseas Bank, Mangalore who has been transferred on promotion to the Regional Office of the Bank at Bangalore as Chief Regional Manager, was honoured in behalf of the Kalkura Pratishtana on June 16, Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion Anil thanked all the customers of the Bank for their support and co-operation in helping the Mangalore Region of the Bank progress.
Hailing from Polenahalli, Tumkur District, Anil is a post graduate in MFSc from the University of Agricultural Science, Bangalore and a recipient of Indian Council of Agricultural Research Scholarship.
He joined Indian Overseas Bank in 1984 as Agricultural Officer. When he was a Branch Manager in Bangalore, his branch was ranked All India Best Metropolitan Branch Award for 3 times. Under his excellent leadership, Mangalore Region of Indian Overseas Bank has surpassed all the Business Targets and became the All India Number one region for consecutive 2 years. With his excellent Administration and Marketing skills, Mangalore Region was ranked second best in all India in LIC business and has been declared as Triple Bima Region.
Prior to joining Indian Overseas Bank he has been the research associate at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Extension Guide at University of Agricultural Science, Bangalore and Superintendent of Fisheries, Government of Karnataka.
