Kakkinje double murder : Accused taken to crime spot

Belthangady, Jan 19, 2016 : Raju alias Ravi of Gadag who was recently arrested by the police in connection with the brutal killing of an elderly couple at Kakkinje, was on January 18, Monday brought to the spot of the crime for further interrogation. A large crowd had gathered at the place  following information that the accused would be brought there.

During the visit to the crime spot, the accused is learnt to have told the police that he came close by the house from behind as if to make the elderly couple believe that he had lost way.

He had then called them for help and eventually eliminated them.  During his return he had discarded his footwear and had worn a pair of footwear which he saw in front of a house.

He also reportedly told the police that after having tea at hotel at Kakkinje he  got a lift in a truck to reach his  destination  at Banjarumale where he worked in a dam site.

Raju was then taken this residence where his wife and daughter were all ready to return to their native place. The accused was seen in tears while at his residence.
