Moodbidri, Nov 21, 2018: The newly created Moodbidri and Kadaba taluks will be inaugurated on November 25 by Revenue Minister R V Deshpande.  The state government had already released Rs 10 crore to provide basic facilities to the new taluks, DK District In-charge Minister U T Khader said on November 20, Tuesday.


Khader.The minister stated in the presence of media that Deshpande will inaugurate Kadaba taluk at 9 am. The programme will be organised at Indira Canteen in Bantwal at 11 am. The title deeds and other facilities will be distributed to the beneficiaries at the same venue.

The new Moodbidri taluk will be inaugurated at 2.30 pm.  “Deshpande will chair a meeting of the district in-charge ministers of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, the MLAs from undivided Dakshina Kannada, the Urban Development Secretary, the district in-charge secretary and the Revenue Department secretary to find a solution to the row over land conversion, 11E sketch, property card and master plan at Mangaluru. The public can submit in writing on the issues related to the Revenue Department to the deputy commissioner’s office in Mangaluru in advance,” Khader listed out.

To a query on water from wells turning into flame when lit, at Kanekere in Deralakatte, the minister said that the reports have confirmed the leakage from petrol bunk contaminating the wells. Experts from the National Institute of Hydroglody, Belagavi, will visit the spot shortly to conduct a study, he added.

“DK DC Sasikanth Senthil has been asked to sort out the issue of releasing untreated sewage water from the Morarji Desai School to a nearby pit at Deralakatte,” Khader said.

To a query on the non-commencement of classes for para medical students at the District Wenlock Hospital, the minister said a meeting will be convened next week to discuss the issue.
