Mangalore, Dec 25, 2013: Karnataka Zakat and Charitable Trust (KZCT) distributed scholarships to meritorious and deserving students of PUC and degree courses at a programme held at Loyola Hall, St Aloysius College on December 24, Tuesday.
The scholarships were distributed to Students who secured 90% and above, orphans scoring 60% and above, and physically challenged scoring 35% and above in PUC.
Participating as the chief guest, IAF air commodore and director of Hyderabad Institute of Excellence Naseem Akhtar said that the organization is distributing scholarship to the Muslim without discrimination.
He also said that today’s youths are tomorrow’s leaders, builders, engineers, doctors and other, hence they must take this opportunity to fulfill their education and help other poor students to pursue their education too, he said.
Khalil Ahmed, chairman, Karnataka Zakat and Charitable Trust (KZCT) said that KZTC is organizing Scholarship distribution programme for the 4th year and previous year, it has distributed scholarship to 7,000 students.
Iqbal Academy vice-president Ziauddin Nayyar, former minister B A Moideen and others were present.
