Mangaluru, May 7, 2017: KPCC Spokesperson V R Sudarshan has said that BJP was under the illusion that it can achieve the target of 150 seats in the next assembly elections in the state.
Speaking to reporters at the Congress Office here on May 7, Sunday he said there was no way that the BJP can continue fooling the people by levelling false charges against the Congress government. The people here have not forgotten that the BJP government of the past had to quit owing to corruption charges. During his tenure as CM, it was Yeddyurappa who caused huge embarrassment to Karnataka, he said.
Sudarshan also stated that the recent victory of the party in the Gundlupete and Nanjangud bye elections has boosted the morale of the party.
He said a Congress membership drive was on and new members can be enrolled and existing members can renew membership by May 15.
Ibrahim Kodijal, Interim President of DK District Congress, Kavitha Sanil, Mayor and others were present.
