Mangalore, May 28, 2014: The Karnataka Komu Sauharda Vedike has planned to hold a rally on May 30 demanding justice to the family of Kabeer who was killed in the shoot-out at Tanikodu check post near Shringeri recently.
Speaking to reporters, Suresh Bhat Bakrabail, leader of the Vedike said the rally will be inaugurated by women’s rights activist Gulabi Bilimale. A public meeting will be held following the rally, he said.
Bhat further said Kabeer’s family members who had come to Shringeri to claim his body were also attacked by a group and the CID report has been leaked to some particular media.
He further alleged that the case though ought to have been probed by a judicial magistrate, is being investigated by an executive magistrate.
Bhat further said over 20 organisations will participate in the rally following which a memorandum would be submitted to the Chief Minister.
