Mangalore, Jan 11, 2014: The District unit of the Karnataka Komu Sauharda Vedike has alleged that the police department had shown a soft attitude towards senior RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat who has been booked in connection with a provocative speech made at Hindu Sangama at Gurupur recently.
In a press communiqué, the Vedike has stressed the need for an impartial probe into such cases without succumbing to pressure.
It has further demanded setting up of fast track courts to ensure speedy justice in such cases wherein efforts are made to stir communal feelings through provocative speeches.
The Vedike has also urged that the fast track courts should ensure that cases are settled within three months.
Referring to the Bhat case, the Vedike said this was however not the first time that the RSS leader had tried to arouse communal feelings through his speeches and stressed the need to put a check to such practices.
