K K Manjunath is Congress candidate for South West Teachers’ constituency

Mangaluru, Oct 13, 2017: District Congress President Harish Kumar has informed that the party has chosen KK Manjunath as its official candidate for the South West Teachers’ constituency.

Speaking to reporters here on October 13, Friday, Harish Kumar accused the opposition party candidates of trying to create confusion in the minds of the voters by stating that Manjunath has not  been chosen as the Congress candidate. He said the party has chosen a teacher to contest from the constituency and even pointed out that the candidate had already visited 30 constituencies and had interacted with teachers.

He also informed that Manjunath had contested the previous elections as an independent candidate but was defeated.

Harish Kumar stated that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate various projects worth Rs 300 crore in Bantwal constituency on October 22.

Mithun Rai, District Youth Congress President, Appi, Corporator, Ibrahim Kodijal were also present.
