Journalists’ Union lauds DC for efficient handling of flood situation

Mangaluru, Aug 17, 2019: A delegation of the DK District Working Journalists’ Union met Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil on August 16, Friday and   congratulated him for the efficient handling of the recent flood situation across the district.

The Union lauded the efforts put in by the Deputy Commissioner in timely responding to the grievances of the flood-hit people.

On this occasion, the Union appealed to the DC to provide a compensation of Rs 5 lakhs to the family of TV9 video journalist Rajesh whose house has been damaged by the floods and is unfit for residing.

Srinivas Nayak Indaje, President of the DK District Working Journalists’ Union,  Executive Committee Members R C Bhat and Bhasker Rai were in the delegation.
