Puttur, June 7, 2015 : The Government has been trying best to respond to the problems of the Endosulfan affected people and solve their grievances, said Puttur MLA Shakuntala Shetty.
She was presiding over a function organised on behalf of the youth wing of the Jaya Karnataka Organisation here on June 6, Saturday.
Shetty further stated that the Jaya Karnataka organisation was distributing 143 wheel chairs to affected people from different parts of Puttur taluk.
MT Kulle Gowda, Tahsildar of Puttur, presided over the function and lauded the service initiative of Jaya Karnataka.
Social worker Nelly Richardo who has been working for the cause of Endosulfan affected people was honoured.
Nellikatte Jagadish Shetty, Surendranath Alva, Nazeem Saheb of Jaya Karnataka Organisation, Rekha J Shetty, Puttur Municipal Commissioner, Sahaj J Rai, President of Youth Wing of District unit of Jaya Karnataka Organisation and others were present.
