Udupi, Sep 13,2017 : The temple town of Udupi is celebrating Sri Krishna Janmashtami on September 11, Wednesday, while Sri Krishna Leelotsav or Vittlapindi celebrations will be held on Thursday.
As part of the celebrations, Muddu Krishna, Balakrishna and Kishora Krishna competitions will be held for various age groups of children. The Sri Krishna Mutt is also ready with nearly 1.5 lakh chakkulis and 75,000 laddoos of different varieties to be distributed to devotees.
Tomorrow, on account of Vittlapindi, a clay idol of Lord Krishna will be taken out in a procession on a golden chariot
The special attraction of the event will be the Huli Vesha Teams. A Competition will also be held for the Huli Vesha teams.
