JD(S) workers gherao minister CP Yogeshwar

Mangaluru, Feb 28, 2021: Tourism Minister C P Yogeshwar was gheraoed by the JD(S) workers in the city on Sunday for calling former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy a ’joker’.

Akshith Suvarna, JD(S) Youth wing president of Dakshina Kannada along with party workers gathered near the hotel where tourism minister Yogeshwar was residing. Knowing about this Tourism Minister boarded a private vehicle to escape from the protest, but JDS wokers came to know about this and gheraoed the escort vehicle of the minister.

District organizing secretary of Dakshina Kannada Youth JD(S) Faizal Mohammed, president of Youth JD(S) Mangaluru North unit Rathish Karkera, vice president of Mangaluru north Hithesh Rai, vice president of Youth JD(S) Mohammed Asif, Sattar Bunder, Pradeep, Rohit, Srinath Poojary and many activist took part in the protest.

C P Yogeshwar speaking to scribes during his visit to the city on Friday February 26, had said, "Former chief minister (CM) H D Kumaraswamy is an opportunistic politician. He will get adjusted with any party. He is like a joker"
