JCI Surathkal initiates Rain Water Harvesting Project

Mangaluru, July 23, 2019: Rain Water Harvesting Project initiated by JCI Surathkal was inaugurated at Vidyadayini High School, Surathkal. Rajendra Kalbavi, Project Director of Dakshina Kannada Nirmithi Kendra, NITK, inaugurating the project said that water can be easily recharged by pumping the roof water into the well. He also contributed filters for the rain water harvesting project.

Inaugurating another unit, Ashok Choonthar, Zone President of JCI zone xv appreciated the work of JCI Surathkal and the school administration, which had set up a project in the school premises during the time of water shortage.


M Venkat Rao, Secretary of the Surathkal Hindu Vidyadayini Sangha, spoke on the occasion. JCI Vice President Royan Uday Crasta, zone presidents Executive assistant Rakshit Kudupu, Secretary of Hindu Vidyadayini Sangh Secretary TN Ramesh, School Headmaster Balachandra, Program Director MG Ramachandra Rao, JCI Immediate Past President Praveen Shetty, Jayceerette President Anitha Shashi, Vineeth Shetty, Niranjan Bala,  first lady of CI Zone 15,  Shobha Ashok, school teachers, officers and members of JCI Suratkal were present.

JCI President Lokesha Rai proposed and welcomed the gathering. Vice President Rakesh Hosabettu proposed vote of thanks.
