J. Krishnanada Rao installed district governor of Lions Club

Mangalore, Aug 1: J. Krishnananda Rao was installed as the district governor of Lions Club International District 324 D5 on July 31, Saturday by the Lions Clubs installation committee. Mallika Rao, the first lady of the district, inaugurated the function. Chandrahas S. N., accompanied by NCC cadets, brought the national flag to the dais.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Krishna J. Palemar, the district-in-charge minister, inaugurated the district projects. In his inaugural speech, he said that the club will conduct programmes to help needy rural people and lauded the help rendered by the club to the flood victims of North Karnataka.

Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, who was the guest of honor, said that he is a lion by birth because his surname means “lion” and that he was born under the zodiac sign Leo. He also expressed his satisfaction at the way the Lions Club was functioning.

Palemar inaugurated two ambulances while Police Commissioner Seemanth Singh pledged corneas and Dr. Shantaram Shetty handed over artificial limbs to the handicapped.

“Sparsha,” the directory of the Lions District, was released by P. Kishore Rao. K. Prashanth Rao, the installation committee secretary, proposed the vote of thanks.
