Mangaluru, Sep 05, 2016: Speaking to media at the District Congress Committee office in Mangaluru on Sept 4, Sunday, the NSA National Security Act, should be imposed on RSS leaders who have been provoking youth in the name of ‘cow protection,’ AICC general secretary B K Hariprasad has said.
He said that the youth who were engaged in murder and assaults in the name of ‘cow protection’ were unaware of their acts. The real persons behind these acts are not seen in the fore. The Central government should apply the NSA against the persons behind such acts.
“The people who wear the masks of cattle protectors create chaos in the day and carry out illegal activities at night. The leaders of the so-called protectors themselves consume beef. The people of the nation should unite against these anti-social elements,” he called out.
Trouble along the coast : “A section of individuals have been trying to serve their vested interests by spreading communal hatred in the coastal belt. This has been tainting the image of the districts,” Hariprasad said.
The AICC general secretary said that Mangaluru is the land of Queen Abbakka. It is deplorable that when a girl visits the place, eggs and chappals are hurled at her. Those who are responsible for this act are hypocrites, he said.
“RSS was not ta part in the Freedom Movement. The Bharatiya Jana Sangha was established in 1951. Accordingly, there is no question of BJP leaders taking part in the freedom struggle. RSS and BJP workers are fake patriots. The people must be aware of them, as the RSS and Hindu Mahasabha leaders had joined their hands with British instead,” Hariprasad said.
Responding to a query, he said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC president G Parameshwara will decide the nomination to the Corporation and board chairpersons.
