Intervene in Sharia laws will not be tolerated: Muslim Central Committee

Mangaluru, Oct 27, 2016: Muslim Central Committee President K S Masood said that the enforcement of Uniform Civil Code is dangerous to the country and BJP is unnecessarily interfering in the Sharia laws of the Muslims which will not be tolerated.

Addressing media at Hotel Woodlands on Thursday October 27, he said that, there are certain procedure that has to be followed in Sharia law which is meant for women and provide justice whenever they are in need. The government is swelling up the issue just to change the law. The committee will not tolerate the move by the government to modify Sharia Law.

President of Udupi Wakf Board Yahya Naqvi said about the legal aspects of triple Talaaq which is said by the husband but Sharia law says that wives are given the right of Khula which is as equal as Talaaq.

KM Shareef briefed about the procedure of Talaaq and said that it is impossible to break relationship by saying Talaaq thrice.

When the husband says Talaaq for the first time, discussion will be carried to settle the disputes between the two. During the second Talaaq the husband and wife does not stay in touch for a month until the matter is settle by intervene of the family members. But still there is no chance then third one can be given for a complete divorce, he said.
