Mangaluru, Jan 04, 2020: Konkani Children Film APSARA DHARA , Produced and Directed by Dr Ramesh Kamath from Bangalore got many International Film Festival recognition.
It was got selected and screened in prestigious Kolkata International Film Festival on November 14, 2019 on Children’s Day.
In December 2019 it was selected and screened at DMOFF International Film Festival at Florida , US and was highly praised by Press and Public.
It won an award as Best Children Experimental Film at
L’Age d’Or International Arthouse Film Festival (LIAFF) in 2019 , December.
Now just recently in the beginning of this New Year on January 2 nd 2020 , it won at SINGAPORE WORLD FILM CARNIVAL as Out Standing Achievement Award and Dr Ramesh Kamath was awarded with Best Film Director.
As per the latest news APSARA DHARA got selected for BANGLA INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN FILM FESTIVAL conducted by Union Government of Bangladesh and festival will be held at Dhaka the capital city of Bangladesh in March 2020.
Apsara Dhara was the first Konkani film to be shot in EGYPT in front of Pyramids and Sphinx at Cairo and few scenes are shot in 3D too ! It is the story of a small poor village Boy Rama’s realisation that Education is more important than Money in life. The film is a mixture of real life story turns into a Fairy tale !
Entire film was shot in 4K in Uttara Kannada District’s dense forest of Sirsi , Yana Caves , Apsara KONDA Falls at Honnavar and Sahasra Linga tourist spot .
Apsara Dhara premier show was held at Bangalore in a Grand Manner at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall and shown to a big crowd at Sirsi and Chennai too recently. In Mumbai show will be held at Borivili and Vashi on January 26 th and 27 th respectively. South Kanara shows will be planned in February 2020. Already Invitation is there from Konkani Sammelan 2020 to screen APSARA DHARA movie at San Jose , California , US in First week of July 2020 .
Master Saarthak Shenoy , Master Kedar and Baby Swathi Bhat acted as major Child artists . Tulu film lead artist Gopinath Bhat , Vitobha Bhandarkar, P R Nayak, Yuvraj Kini, Ananth Nayak Sagri, Kasargod Ashok Kumar, Karthik Shenoy, Vasudha Prabhu from Mumbai, Usha Bhat, Noted Dancer Prathibha Kini, Leading Sitar player Shruthi Kamath, Kiranmayi Kamath, Sathish Kullappu Pai, Kudla Anandu Shanbhag, Anand Kamath , Vasudev Shanbhag, Vishakh Isloor, Vivek Divekar ,GU Bhat, and Prakash Kini have acted in the moviee. Educationists and Konkani renowned philanthropist Dr Dayananda Pai acted in a Special role which is the main attraction of the film.
