Mangaluru, Apr 06, 2019: Senior BJP leader R Ashok has alleged that the mistrust and internal squabbles in the Congress-JD(S) coalition government in the state has peaked during election time.
Speaking to reporters in the city on April 6, Saturday, he alleged that the Congress men were striving for the defeat of JD(S) in Mandya. He also stated that those shouting Modi Modi during Rahul Gandhi’s programme in Bengaluru have been booked. Similarly Modi Modi chants were even heard in the meeting convened at the residence of former ML Puttegowda in Hassan and at a JD(S) meeting in Mysuru in the presence of District in-charge Minister, he said.
He dubbed the Congress-JD(S) alliance in the state as an unholy alliance. He also lashed out at the government for withdrawing the Ulaibettu communal clash case and 142 such cases in the state. Such measures to appease one religion during election time is not proper, he added.
Referring to Dakshina Kannada Congress candidate visiting temples wearing saffron shawls, he described Congress as a drama company.
He also blamed the government for the sand crisis in the coastal districts.
MP and BJP candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLAs Sanjeeva Matandoor, Vedavyas Kamath, Harish Poonja, Sunil Kumar and others were present.
