Mangaluru, Feb 27, 2021:        ‘The Academic Year 2020-21 has been a very challenging year as the COVID 19 has damaged the whole education system. It is still uncertain about opening schools at all levels. It is good that the teachers have found an alternative of Vidyagama and online classes because of which the students are not deprived of learning’ said Sri Suresh Kumar S., Hon’ble Minister of State for Primary & Secondary Education and Sakala, Government of Karnataka after inaugurating Reshma Memorial Auditorium at Shakthi Campus today.

He requested the educators and the parents to create social awareness and social responsibility in the minds of students rather than insisting in marks alone. At this juncture he quoted the effort of Nirmala teacher who was responsible for the success of Anjanappa hailing from the rural background who scored 92% in SSLC, 131 rank in CET, 91Rank in JEE and today pursuing his studies at IIT Mumbai. He shared his aspiration of seeing the students coming out of Shakthi School turning out to be the strength of the society with the amount of culture and the discipline that they are exposed to in the campus. He assured to be ever supportive to the Management that has come forward with all advancements and infrastructure proving to be an asset to the beneficiaries.

‘Swimming is the Mother of all exercise perhaps a wonderful physical exercise for all age group’ said Sri Gopal Hosur Retd. IPS Officer and the President of Karnataka Swimming Association on the occasion of the inauguration of Sarosh Memorial Pool at Shakthi. Most of the youngsters are drowning for lack of knowledge in swimming, if the rural talent could be trained rigorously then laurels at the National and International level would come our way easily he said. D.K.District swimming champs who have represented the at the State level and the Nationals were honoured on this occasion by the dignitaries.

Sri Vedavyas Kamath, MLA Mangaluru south said ‘Life is a race no doubt but passing in life is utmost important than winning a race’. He shared his views on the 17 crore swimming pool project coming up in Yemmekere for the public as a part of the smart city project.

‘People admire Swami Vivekananda and Bhagat Singh as their role models but today the students have role models on this dais itself’ opined Sri G.R.Jagadeesh, Regional Joint Organizing Secretary-VidyaBharathi referring to the dignitaries present on the occasion. He appreciated the system followed in Shakthi and spoke on the role of a teacher in moulding the life of a student.

Sri Mahabaleshwar M.S. CEO & Chairman Karnataka Bank quoted the four strong pillars that make up a School namely the Students, Teachers, parents and the Management. The co-ordination of all the four is very vital, failure to which the consequence is uncertain he said.

Sanjith Naik, Secretary of the Shakthi education trust proposed the welcome Address. Chief Advisor Ramesh k briefed about the journey of Shakthi in his introductory address. Shrivara, Sanskrit teacher delivered the vote of thanks.

Smt. Vanitha Prasad, Corporator, Shakthinagar, Dr. K.C.Naik, the Administrator of Shakthi education trust, Trustees Dr. Muralidhar Naik, Saguna C Naik and Anju Alva Naik were present. Institute Development Officer Prakyath Rai, Sudheer M.K Principal-in-charge Shakthi PU College, Vidya Kamath G Principal Shakthi Residential School, Neema Saxena, Co-ordinator of Shakthi Pre-school, all staff and students were present on this occasion.

Sharanappa, Kannada Teacher and Divya Jyothi, Commerce Lecturer compered the show.
