Mangalore, Mar 30, 2014: Efforts are being made to include the Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism to the existing judicial system so that disputes could be dealt with in a better manner considering the fact that the existing judicial system was a time consuming and cumbersome process, said Justice N Kumar, Executive Chairman of International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution(ICADR) Regional Centre, Bangalore.
He was delivering the key note address on ‘Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism,’ at the Court premises in Mangalore on March 29, Saturday. The programme was organised by ICADR Bangalore and Mangalore Bar Association.
Continuing, he said ADR cannot be a substitute but can supplement the existing system.
The function was presided over by B V Prakash, Principal District and Sessions Judge.
C R Sundaresh, Assistant Secretary of ICADR, Bangalore, Ashok Ariga, President of Mangalore Bar Association and others were present.
