IMD says ’Light Rainfall likely in Coastal Karnataka’

Mangaluru, Mar 13, 2017: According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD); Rain, thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka where as dry weather is very likely to prevail over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka, within a week followed by light rain fall at isolated places in Coastal Karnataka.    

Rainfall 1There was no large change in maximum temperatures over the state. They were appreciably below normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Minimum temperature fell at many places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka and there was no large change over South Interior Karnataka.

Bellary has recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37.0 deg C in the state and Belagavi has recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 8.3 deg C in the plains of the state.
