Mangaluru, Mar 09, 2023: Second PUC exams commenced in as many as 52 examination centres across Dakshina Kannada district and 28 centres in Udupi district on March 9, Thursday.
A total of 49,975 students from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are eligible to appear for the exams. Of them, 34,340 are from Dakshina Kannada district and 15,635 students from Udupi district.
Of 34,340 students from Dakshina Kannada, 17,246 are boys and 17,094 are girls. There are 31,222 regular students, 2,016 private students and 1,102 repeaters.
There are 18 examination centres in Mangaluru taluk, six each in Bantwal and Belthangady taluks, five each in Puttur and Kadaba taluks, four each in Moodbidri and Ullal, and two each in Sullia taluk and Mulky.
Prohibitory orders are in place in the 200 meter radius of the examination centres. The examination process is being completely monitored by CCTV cameras. The exams will be held upto March 29.
