IAS cadres play a pivotal role in nation’s development : UPSC rank holder Ranjan

Udupi, Aug 1, 2017 : The Indian Administrative Service plays a pivotal role in the overall development of the society and also in bringing about a social change, said Ranjan R Shenoy of Manipal who is the 112th rank holder in UPSC exams.

Participating in an interaction programme organised by the MGM College Arts and IQC units on July 31, Monday, he said education not only enriches knowledge but also develops skills which are a must for success in life. He said he had undertaken a study on slum dwellers in Mumbai for two years. He also spoke about the benefits of online teaching facility for IAS aspirants.

Prof Kusuma Kamath, Principal of MGM College presided over the function.
