Mangaluru, Dec 12, 2014: Mangaluru North MLA Moidin Bava has said that he feels hurt when people accuse him of being partial and favouring his own community.
Speaking to reporters here on December 11, Thursday the MLA made it clear that he had never adopted a partisan approach but has treated all communities on par and worked for the betterment and welfare of all sections of the society.
Referring to the recent Ulaibettu incident and the clashes that followed, Bava said he had raised the issue at the recent Congress Legislative Party meeting and has requested the Chief Minister to provide additional security to the region.
Alleging that some forces were hell bent upon disrupting communal harmony, the MLA warned that stern action will follow against those responsible for such incidents.
Referring to the recent peace meet in the city and the failure of the Muslim leaders and elected representatives to attend the meeting, Bava said it was a one-sided meet and added another meet should be held in the presence of all ministers and elected representatives.
He also rubbished reports of his not so good relations with BJP leaders including Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister and Krishna Palemar, former MLA.
