Human Rights Day observed at Aloysius Institute of Education

Mangalore, July 17, 2013 : World Human Rights day was observed at St Aloysius Institute of Education (B. Ed College)  on July 15, Monday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shridhar Rao, civil advocate, who was the chief guest, enlightened the students on human rights and the significance of observing such a day in the college. He focused on violation of Human Rights, Remedial Measures of safeguarding Human Rights and legal side that every citizen of India can approach to protect his/her rights when they are violated.

Rev Fr Edward Rodrigues SJ, Director of the college presided over the function. He insisted to discharge our duties honestly rather than fighting for rights. His focal point in his address was ‘Limited Freedom’ to each individual and the need for Adjustment in Life for harmonious development in society.

A video  highlighting violation of human rights in different parts of the world in different ways was screened on the occasion.
