Mangaluru, Aug 5,2017: The Hindu Hitharakshana Samithi has slammed the Police Department for its failure to make any arrests in the RSS activist Sharath Madivala murder case reported from BC Road.
The Samithi has also warned of holding a hunger strike on August 8 demanding the arrest of the accused in the case. The protest will be held in front of DC office and also in front of Taluk offices in Puttur, Bantwal, Sullia, Belthangady and Moodbidri.
Speaking to reporters here, BJP leader and former MLC Monappa Bhandary said the accused are at large even a month after the incident revealing the failure of the Home Ministry. As Chief Minister himself is in-charge of the Home Ministry, he too is to be blamed, Bhandary added.
Lashing out at the district in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai, Bhandary accused him and other leaders of resorting to vote bank politics.
VHP leader Jagadish Shenava and others were present.
