Mangaluru Nov 11, 2016: Help India Foundation will provide free digital hearing aid and evaluation of patients for Cochlear Implant surgery for children on December 11th at Town Hall. This camp is jointly organized by Help India Foundation and Naseema Cochlear Implant Foundation, informed Minister for Food and Civil Supplies UT Khader.
Addressing media at Circuit House on Thursday November 11th, Khader said that a total of 50 digital hearing aids will be provided to children of BPL card holders. Children who are in need of the facility will have to approach Help India Foundation on or before November 30th.
Evaluation of patients for Cochlear Implant surgery will be done by Dr Deepak Haldipur. Children of BPL families in the age group of 1-5 years are eligible for this surgery. In case of children above five years, their families need to 1.5 lakhs for the surgery, said Khader.
Secretary of Help India Foundation Abdul Razik, Dr Deepak Haldipur and others were present.
