Hebri, July 17,2017 : At least 12 houses in the Belanje area of Kuchhur village in Karkala taluk were damaged due to heavy rains and strong winds on July 16, Sunday morn ing.

e house of Chinnarakatte Tammayya Naika and Dasanakatte Geeta Naika was completely damaged after a tree rolled over it. Luckily no one was injured as all those inside the house had rushed out. The electrical wiring of the house, the roof tiles and sheets were completely destroyed. Local Gram Panchayat President Ramanna Poojary and other revenue officials visited the place.
